Sample Protocols:

Protocol Points for Fibromyalgia:

Diet: Focus on an anti-inflammatory diet and take out any potential food sensitivities.

Lifestyle: Make sufficient deep sleep and regular movement your top priorities. Use herbal sleep aids if you need to, and slowly work your way into mild to moderate excise that suits you. Consider walking, swimming, yoga/stretching/mobility, or tai chi. Also consider bodywork, both for direct pain relief and the healing benefits of touch.

Herbs: Diet and lifestyle play the biggest roles, but specific herbs can be used. Turmeric, ginger, tart cherry for inflammation. Gotu kola, ashwagandha and holy basil for stress-mood component.

Protocol Points for Sciatica:

Diet: Focus on anti-inflammatory diet, including omega-3s and anti-inflammatory superfoods like turmeric, tart cherry, and pineapple. Mineral deficiencies - especially lack of magnesium, B vitamins, calcium, and vitamin D - may worsen the pain. Try supplements or high nutrient foods like nettles, leafy greens, nuts, and seeds.

Lifestyle: Figure out whether specific activities aggravate your sciatica. Res, physical therapy, ergonomics, regular exercise and stretching, and bodywork like chiropractic would be the primary holistic therapies.

Herbs: Combine anti-inflammatory herbs (turmeric, tart cherry, frankincense, ashwagandha, holy basil) with nerve-pain tonics (skullcap, blue vervain)
